Mustache Dash 2012!!

Oh, blog how I've missed you!! I promise I won't neglect you so much after December 17th.  What is December 17th, you ask?  It's the day I put pen to paper (or to be specific: felt-tipped pen to laminated no-erase notepad) and tackle the GMAT once and for all.  I'm studying like crazy and I don't think stressed is really even the word for how I feel, but luckily the GMAT doesn't test vocabulary so I don't have to worry about finding a more suitable synonym.

Alas, I digress - for the GMAT is the absolute anti-thesis of this post.  This post is much more exciting, much more fun, much more...hairy?  Yes!  It's Movember, after all!

What is Movember, you say? The website does a beautiful job of summarizing so I shall let their "About Movember" page speak for itself:

"During November each year, Movember is responsible for the sprouting of moustaches on thousands of men’s faces, in the US and around the world. With their Mo's, these men raise vital awareness and funds for men's health issues, specifically prostate and testicular cancer initiatives." (

In honor of this worthy cause, my boyfriend and his facially-challenged friends decided months ago to organize a pub crawl that would raise money for Movember.  First, they got pretty much every bar in Fenway to get on board - that is no small feat.  Second, they set up a website to advertise.  Third, they created an online ticketing page to make everyone's lives easier.  Fourth, they made about a billion flyers and business cards and have been littering the subway stations all month.  And finally, they stopped shaving their upper lips.

Impressive right? That was only week 1.  So, if YOU want to join the cause and have some fun, then this Saturday is your chance.  Read on for details:
