Skiing is a past-time I look forward to every year. Regardless of what Mother Nature has up her sleeve for the holidays, I can always rely on the technology of man-made snow to deliver a healthy dose of winter mix - just enough powder and ice so that I feel like Christmas really is on its way. As it turns out this year I am particularly lucky, since the Colorado mountain where my family and I are skiing got more than its fair share of snow the day before we arrived. And while there is nothing better than
attempting to survive moguls before your phone dies and you're left for ski patrol to bail you out tearing up the slopes with ones relatives, being on the mountain is only half the reason why I love these holiday getaways so much. The other half is what comes next: après-ski, bien sur!
What might one need for the perfect après-ski experience, you wonder? Fear not - your ski pants, down jacket, and fog-resistant goggles may scream Michelin Man, but that doesn't mean your off-mountain attire has to. Here I have compiled a smorgasborg of après-chic, a collection of winter favorites to keep you feeling warm and stylish after a long day on the slopes. The only thing missing? A cup of hot cocoa and that cute guy you caught checking out your moves on the half pipe! Alas I can't do everything, and truthfully we are only assuming he is cute because seriously who can tell when one is dressed to rob a bank?
